Services: Global VPN Client (GVC)

Feature/Application:

The SonicWALL Global VPN Client creates a Virtual Private Network (VPN) connection between your computer and the corporate network to maintain the confidentiality of private data. Sometimes when you plan to re-install the operating system or uninstall the GVC application you can backup the GVC configuration by going to the following location: C:\Users\***USER***\AppData\Roaming\SonicWALL\SonicWALL Global VPN Client

Procedure:

1) On you computer navigate to the following folder (C:\Users\***USER***\AppData\Roaming\SonicWALL\SonicWALL Global VPN Client)
2) copy/zip the two files and store in a safe place
Backup.rcf   --  list of all the connections **clear text** without VPN keys or authentication information
SonicWALL Global VPN Client.rcf -- encrypted list of all connections with VPN keys
3) when the reinstallation of OS or GVC is complete, replace the above files.
